Air Barrier Commissioning

Air barrier commissioning tests your home for air leakage, air tightness and air permeability.

A building with gaps, holes and cracks allows for uncontrolled air leakage, making it less efficient in terms of heat and energy consumption. It also allows unwanted moisture, dust and pollutants to enter, thereby raising the chance of mold developing.  Making your building airtight will reduce the amount of fuel needed to heat or cool it as well as reducing its carbon footprint.

Homesol uses infared thermography to identify air conditioning leakage in the summer or warm air leakage in the winter.

Commissioning an air barrier system is an integral part of sustainable, healthful, durable, and energy efficient construction projects.
